How to Read Your Meter

Your Meter

Outside your home or building you will see a meter similar to this, although not all meters look exactly like this. However you would look for the same numbers on them.

The meter reading (shown at the top of this meter) is where you would read the number you send to us for your your usage.

At Reliance Energy Partners your metered rates are based on the fact that each customer reads their own meter. If we do not receive your reading we will estimate which could result in you being billed at a higher rate.

You read the meter as you would the odometer on a car. It is best to read your meter as close the the same day each month as possible so that your usage will be based on a 30-day period. We need to receive your meter reading no later than the 15th of the month. (10th if submitting by postal mail).
